...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN...Until 1100 PM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 759 PM HST, radar indicated moderate rain over eastern Oahu. Rain was falling at a rate of around 1 inch per hour. Rainfall has decreased in coverage and intensity, but additional rain continues to move in from the south and stream levels continue to run high. - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action. A Flood Watch is also in effect through Friday evening. && This advisory may need to be extended beyond 1100 PM HST if flooding; persists.

This swell will peak tonight through Friday. ...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Surf of 7 to 10 feet. * WHERE...South-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands. * WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Moderate. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY FOR NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI AND LANAI... ...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR THE ISLANDS OF KAHOOLAWE AND MAUI... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Lanai. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A kona low northwest of the state will bring the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms through at least Friday. The focus for excessive rainfall will be over Molokai, Lanai, and Oahu initially, then will shift farther wester to focus over Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau on Friday. All islands in the Flood Watch area should be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
